What is Web 2.0 anyway?

Let me clarify what "Web 2.0" means to me. "Web 2.0" is the new emerging side of the Internet, full of Flash animations, interactivity, embedded media fields such as YouTube videos that you can play right on your site, blogs, syndication, aggregation, highly interactive social networking sites like Facebook, Google Maps, Flickr, Twitter, Moodle, CMSs, SEO, Semantic Web, eCommerce, Wikipedia, AJAX, and pretty much anything else you can imagine that you couldn't do five or 10 years ago.

What that overwhelming list means for accessibility

This may seem like a pretty overwhelming list. And it is by no means comprehensive. However, we can bring some order out of this chaos by grouping these technologies into a series of categories. We can then identify the essential accessibility implications of each type of technology.
